Our client, a top-tier management consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager with SME-level expertise to lead and drive strategic initiatives within the Legal and Compliance functions for a top-tier US Bank. This role requires building programs from the ground up, onboarding new software solutions, and driving transformative product initiatives that enable fundamental changes in business operations within the Alternative Investments (Alts) space.
The ideal candidate will bring deep compliance and legal function expertise, combined with strong product management leadership, and will be comfortable guiding and supporting other consulting team members while aligning initiatives with client objectives and regulatory frameworks.
Requirements and Qualifications:
· 7–10+ years of Product Management experience within financial services, with a focus on Legal and Compliance initiatives.
· Proven track record of leading transformative product initiatives, including onboarding new compliance or legal software solutions that drive operational changes.
· Experience setting up programs from inception within compliance and legal functions.
· Subject matter expertise in:
1. Code of Ethics, AML/KYC, Regulatory Reporting, Control Room operations
2. Compliance frameworks and operational processes within Alternative Investments (Alts), Hedge Funds, Private Equity
· Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks: SEC, FINRA, and global compliance standards.
· Ability to translate business objectives into scalable product roadmaps and requirements while ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
· Experience with system design, data flow mapping, and control implementation across compliance functions.
· Skilled in UAT planning, testing strategies, and post-implementation validation.
· Comfortable collaborating across Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Technology teams to deliver on product initiatives.
· Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
· Alts background is a key requirement.
· Preferred: Experience within large-scale banking, asset management environments, or prior experience in consulting/advisory roles within financial services.
