Duties/Responsibilities
Product Lifecycle Management: Own and manage the entire lifecycle of flexible packaging products, ensuring alignment with market demands and business objectives.
Market and Sales Analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and SKU productivity to identify growth opportunities and optimize the product portfolio.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D/Technical, Operations, and Supply Chain to develop and execute product strategies.
Customer Communication: Serve as a product expert by effectively conveying product and marketing information to customers, supporting their needs, and driving customer satisfaction.
Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for internal teams and external customers to enhance knowledge of product offerings and capabilities.
New Product Development: Partner with R&D and Sourcing teams to introduce new products, enhance existing offerings, and identify cost-saving initiatives.
Trade Shows & Industry Events: Represent the company at trade shows, site visits, and customer meetings to promote product offerings and strengthen industry presence.
Forecasting and Performance Analysis: Develop and maintain reports for daily, weekly, and monthly analysis of orders, shipments, and financial performance to adjust forecasts and support revenue targets.
Business Growth & Tactical Execution: The Product Manager plays a key role in driving business growth through tactical executionβsupporting lead generation, assisting sales in the field, and developing sales materials. They must maintain deep knowledge of the product and its applications to ensure the offering aligns with the needs of each target market segment.
Required Skills/Abilities
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with ERP systems preferred.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with new product development and cost-out efforts is a plus.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the packaging or manufacturing industry.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
Ability to travel domestically up to 20%.
Participation in trade shows or on-site customer visits as required.
Salary Range: 150K - $200K (commensurate with experience).
