POSITION SUMMARY         

The Menswear Product  Manager leads the development of the menswear product line, overseeing all phases of the product development cycle with a strategic and consumer-focused lens. This role owns responsibility for line planning and style adoption through final estimating and procurement readiness. As a key cross-functional partner, the SMMW works closely with Design, Technical Design, Development, Sourcing, Planning, DTC, and Sales to bring to market a commercially compelling product offer that aligns with brand strategy, resonates with the customer, and delivers on financial objectives. This is a critical, hands-on role for a collaborative leader who thrives at the intersection of product, process, and performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB                                                                   

  • Product Strategy
    • Analyzes performance and forecasts trend to identify opportunities for profitable growth.
    • Leads the team in developing seasonal roadmap to achieve financial targets including line plans, product direction, competitive landscape, delivery flow, and pricing strategy.
    • Consults with Design on silhouette and fabrication based on historical sales 
    • Identifies divisional initiatives in support of Corporate Strategic Plan, assigns KPI’s and tracks performance. 
  • Product Operations
    • Collaborates with cross-functional teams in managing seasonal development calendars.
    • Manages cross-functional coordination meetings to track progress against calendar and identify solutions to overcome challenges. 
    • Identifies process improvements across departments to increase efficiencies and shorten cycle time.
    • Leads regular Merchandising / Design departmental meetings and participates in interdepartmental work sessions
    • Attends sketch reviews and approves styles for handover
    • Attends handover meetings as needed
    • Participates in style and fit reviews.
    • Responsible for approving final product adoption.
    • Leads product line presentations at seasonal sales meeting and pre-lines.
    • Participates in monthly divisional meeting with Senior Management
    • Travels with Design for color, trend, textile and print development
    • Attends industry trade shows and visits with regional sales representatives 
  • Financial
    1. Responsible for establishing final wholesale and retail pricing based on final costing
    2. Manages annual expense budget and quarterly forecasts

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 8+ years of experience in related industry experience
  • Proficient in retail math
  • Bachelor degree or additional, equivalent experience 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite/Outlook
  • Familiar with PLM systems


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Able to travel as needed
  • The ability to use a computer workstation for extended periods of time, sitting, standing, typing, and viewing information on a monitor.
