Expedition Expectations
As a key member of the Product Management team, the Senior Product Manager – Travel platform will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy for platform functionality and integrations that power internal and external travel systems. This role will focus on gathering requirements, defining use cases and leading the development of technical integrations and end-to-end workflows of a travel platform. The Senior Product Manager will collaborate closely with data engineering, operations, IT, external partners and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making is at the core of our travel management solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong stakeholder management and technical fluency with product leadership to deliver integration solutions that drive innovation, improve operational efficiency and enhance the traveler experience.

Road mapping & Planning
· Define and prioritize travel platform and integration features based on business impact, customer needs, and market trends.
· Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap aligned with company objectives and stakeholder priorities.
· Lead agile product development practices using Jira, ensure efficient backlog management, planning, and execution.
· Translate business and partner needs into detailed product requirements, including workflows, data formats, and integration specs.
Delivery & Execution
· Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle for platform features and infrastructure from ideation to launch.
· Lead implementation of APIs and data exchange integrations with external partners and internal systems.
· Collaborate with engineering, product and UX teams to build scalable end-to-end platform features
· Define and track key product performance metrics, ensuring insights drive continuous improvement.
· Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to make data-informed product decisions.
· Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of data-driven features, balancing speed, scalability, compliance, and usability.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, marketing, engineering, and user experience, to align on business goals and customer needs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
· Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating data capabilities into business value.
· Communicate product vision and roadmap across internal and external stakeholders
· Work closely with leadership to define and communicate the vision, roadmap, and impact of data products.
· ‘ and specifications clearly for engineering and other dependent teams consumption.
Going the Extra Mile
· Degree in Business, Computer Science or a related discipline
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in product management or a related role
· Experience working at a travel technology or related company and experience with industry data standards
· Experience with APIs, file-based integrations, and working directly with technical partners
· Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product development processes
· Experience defining a roadmap for an area with input from multiple sources
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
· Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
· Strategic thinker with a strong bias for action and operational follow-through
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is a must
· Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality
· A demonstrated record of partnering with teams across an organization to influence and achieve business results across multiple teams who may have different goals
· Proven creativity in the software and services that you've helped deliver
· Positive attitude and fit with the Direct Travel team culture
· Experience with travel industry systems and technologies is a plus
· Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
