In this role, you will be looked to as a Subject Matter Expert in Windows Server, SQL and Azure.Β  Your role will be becoming a product expert around these Microsoft Products.Β  Our software sales teams will rely on you for communicating product changes/announcements, being aware of channel programs, and diving in with customers when needed.Β  But additionally, you act as part of the Microsoft-Insight alliance team to help manage and launch programs, drive sales strategies, facilitate engagement, and enable our sales teams.

You will be joining a fast-paced team covering the largest business segment in our company. We are a competitive team that prides themselves on work ethic, performance, results, and positive attitudes.

The right candidate will be one who is comfortable with ambiguity, is a self-starter and is capable of moving projects forward by finding solutions to roadblocks. You will be joining a business that is rapidly evolving around cloud solutions, and as-such is loosely defined.Β  You will find that on our team, we are moving fast and constantly picking up new projects and driving big goals.Β  We don’t see systems and processes as boundaries, but instead we are comfortable re-building systems as needed to fit our business.

We are using our Microsoft product expertise and legacy business to build a services practice around Public Cloud, and most days we are reminded that we are like a start-up team within an enterprise business. Your interactions with the sales teams, partners, Product Managers, and clients will provide you the ability to build and maintain strong relationships while uncovering new business opportunities through networking and training. What you’ll do at Insight:

  • Create and implement major product and partner strategies in order to grow revenue
  • Partner closely with the sales, marketing, purchasing teams to develop and implement product marketing programs.
  • Become an expert on product knowledge, product demand, pricing direction, vendor direction, roadmaps, hot solutions and price points, bundling opportunities, funding programs and the competitive landscape.
  • Develop and manage pricing strategies for assigned categories that allow us to be competitive while maintaining the maximum product gross margins.
  • Measure and publish weekly/monthly reporting of sales, margin, SR and performance of all product marketing campaigns and other product related metrics.

What you’ll need to join Insight:

This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical degree or Cloud experience who is looking to take the next step.Β  Also, former systems engineers or IT professionals who are looking to re-invent their career in the cloud business.Β  This is a great opportunity for a technical person to dive into cloud and get experience across Product Management, sales, and marketing.

  • A bachelor’s degree from a four-year university or 5+ years related sales experience. MBA a plus.
  • Preferred experience in a technology channel environment.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Datacenter, preferred experience with Azure.
  • Advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Excel including Pilot Tables, V-Lookups, IF statements, and more
  • Ability to develop and recommend solutions to problems.
  • Ability to develop and execute on business plans
  • Strong acumen for creating revenue forecasts
  • You are a strong program manager that can being new programs to market through strong project management and communication
  • You are enthusiastic and eager to learn more.Β 
  • Ability to demonstrate ownership over tasks and assignments
  • Ability to manage teams in remote locations. Some travel required.
  • Excellent cross collaboration skills with teammates
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must.
  • Ability to demonstrate ownership over tasks and assignments
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from sales associates, sales managers and customers.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills are a must.
