POSITION PURPOSE

Β 

The Product Manager is responsible for all aspects of the product lifecycle from identifying sales and growth opportunities through design and delivery; ensuring competitive pricing, including promotional pricing and sales strategies.Β  Works collaboratively across the organization to identify member behavior, technology, process, training, and experience that may impact the ability to achieve targets.Β  Contributes to an environment that supports a diverse and engaged employee base.Β  Β Β

  • Assumes responsibility for supporting, demonstrating, and promoting the Credit Union SERVICE culture. Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  2.Β  PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

  • Develops a framework for identifying and reviewing new and existing products/services within assigned product lines.Β  This includes positioning, pricing, profitability, channel, promotions, branding, product life cycle, segmentation, relationship management, member experience and sales support.

  • Creates and maintains product performance plans, including: product roadmaps, product guides, and performance reporting.
    Β 
  • Collaborates to review member experience and journey to ensure all aspects of the process help to achieve product performance expectations for service, growth, risk, etc..
    Β 
  • Develops and Partners with the financial and management reporting team:
    Β 
    • Deliver product performance analytics and reporting to lines of business leaders.
    • Develop consumer profiles for members and non-members to study the buying preference and behavior, as well as sensitivity to feature changes.
    • Prepare cost/benefit analyses to determine the effectiveness of product/service marketing mailings and promotions. Assists with the development and implementation of tracking mechanisms.
    • Maintain current market and competitor research, including: industry, marketplace, and future trends.

  • Collaborates with Marketing and Organizational Development to develop marketing plans and engagement strategies in line with product objectives and ensures that staff are fluent with product and product changes.

  • Engage with all staff to ensure member experience and feedback are incorporated into product evolution.
    Β 
  • Participates in the scoping and prioritization of enhancements and collaborates with other departments for functional requirements.
    Β 
  • Collaborates and at times projects in the coordination of evaluation, testing, and enhancement of new and existing technology solutions.
    Β 
  • Recommends areas for process and improvement and works with IT to ensure appropriate assessment and improvement.
    Β 
  • Coordinates usability testing, reviews, and evaluations to identify and address issues to enhance end-user experience.Β 

    3. RELATIONSHIPS

  • Manage and evaluate external partner relationships to ensure relationships are meeting credit union goals and expectations.

  • Participate in advisory groups to drive credit union needs and objectives.
    Β 
  • Engage with members, sponsors, and other partners in a professional manner which appropriately represents the high standards associated with the Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union history.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Β 

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of eight years progressive product experience in the banking or complimentary industry. Β Β Fluency with storytelling, reporting tools (including Microsoft Excel), and analytical tools.

Must be a team player with the ability to establish and maintain engaging working relationships with people of diverse backgrounds.
