What does a successful Product Manager of Education do at Fiserv? 

Fiserv is a world-class data and analytics organization delivering the next generation of powerful data insights and decisioning solutions to financial institutions, fintech, consumer/business credit bureaus, government agencies and merchants.  Our team brings exceptional scale and innovation as a financial transactions industry leader with deep knowledge of student loan technology.

As a successful Product Manager of Education, you will ensure that Fiserv delivers best-in-class student loan technology to improve the customer experience for federal student loan borrowers, streamline the administration of the loan program, and enhance cybersecurity. In this role you will ensure our solutions maximize revenue and improve operational efficiency through charting and executing on the product roadmap, business plan and commercialization of our education product suite.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for participating in, tracking, and managing the full lifecycle management of our education products, from requirements writing through crafting executive-level updates on product progress toward objectives.

• Manage and deliver the product roadmap execution plan and strategic initiatives to drive the enhancement and development of our education solutions leveraging market trends, client/consumer focused design thinking, compliance requirements, and client feedback.
• Provide new and existing clients with an in-depth overview of our digital education journeys.
• Aid student loan servicers in providing student loan borrowers with a fast, efficient, secure, and personalized solution to improve their overall borrower experience.
• Design and develop improvement opportunities to increase efficiencies of support of product strategy, product planning and issue prioritization.
• Develop expertise in the intricacies of our product's technical aspects, including client application onboarding, API integration, and troubleshooting.
• Work as the primary interface between the product and technology teams to analyze and validate business requirements and help define functional solutions.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in information science, engineering, business or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in product management or management consulting
• US citizenship capable of obtaining security clearance with the Federal Government.

What would be great to have:

• Knowledge and experience of product management best practices spanning product development, product management, pricing and go-to-market.
• Experience reviewing the technical components of products/applications, root cause investigations, and discovering new ways to improve product performance and processes.
• Experience with education products, such as SMS, email, voice, and push.
• Experience managing clients in the financial services industry.
