As a platform (FPGA/Emulation) specialist and interface between the Platform Engineering team and all external stakeholders, you will translate customer needs to the best possible platform solutions enabled on the most suited HW platform. You will oversee deliverables and manage resources for our rapidly growing platforms and user base. Deliverables include the entire product cycle for each platform: platform product specs, planning, execution oversight, processes, sign-off and post-mortem. Resource management will entail preparing platform forecast for annual budget, ensuring platform resources are optimally utilized, and tracking forecast-vs-actual utilization and return on investment. In this dynamic multiple supplier/client-interfacing role, you will orchestrate the following activities on day-to-day basis: - Create Platform Spec reflecting all platform deliverables based on requirements from the platform user base - Create project plans, set priorities, resolve dependencies, and ensure timely platform release to customers - Drive debug of pre-silicon issues found on the platforms interfacing with cross-functional teams such as Design, Design Verification, Systems Engineering, Silicon Validation, FW/SW, Test engineering, etc. - Drive post-mortem and methodology improvements - Prepare FPGA and Emulation forecast for annual budget preparation - Analyze and track actual-vs-forecast and ROI for all platforms - Represent platform team in cross-functional and executive briefings


  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related field with 10 years of SoC experience.


  • Prior experience in Design, DV, FPGA/Emulation or Silicon Validation projects
  • Familiarity with emulation and FPGA technologies is a plus
  • Strong multi-tasker, enabled to influence without authority
  • Collaborative, lead-by-example approach with a proactive and team-first mindset
  • Creative and critical problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to translate data into clear, audience-specific insights, including presentation for executives


At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
