As a platform (FPGA/Emulation) specialist and interface between the Platform Engineering team and all external stakeholders, you will translate customer needs to the best possible platform solutions enabled on the most suited HW platform. You will oversee deliverables and manage resources for our rapidly growing platforms and user base. Deliverables include the entire product cycle for each platform: platform product specs, planning, execution oversight, processes, sign-off and post-mortem. Resource management will entail preparing platform forecast for annual budget, ensuring platform resources are optimally utilized, and tracking forecast-vs-actual utilization and return on investment.
In this dynamic multiple supplier/client-interfacing role, you will orchestrate the following activities on day-to-day basis:
- Create Platform Spec reflecting all platform deliverables based on requirements from the platform user base
- Create project plans, set priorities, resolve dependencies, and ensure timely platform release to customers
- Drive debug of pre-silicon issues found on the platforms interfacing with cross-functional teams such as Design, Design Verification, Systems Engineering, Silicon Validation, FW/SW, Test engineering, etc.
- Drive post-mortem and methodology improvements
- Prepare FPGA and Emulation forecast for annual budget preparation
- Analyze and track actual-vs-forecast and ROI for all platforms
- Represent platform team in cross-functional and executive briefings
