As the Manager of Development and Product Management, you will lead a cross-functional team in delivering scalable, secure, and user-centric software products that are used by both internal and external customers.Β This role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end software development lifecycle while aligning product strategy with business goals.Β This position will manage a team of internal product managers and developers, as well as manage our multiple software development partners.
We are currently seeking a full-time Manager, Development and Product Management to join our team. The general schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Our current opportunity is open to remote work, with up to quarterly travel necessary as requested, and reports to the Chief Information Officer.
How You'll Contribute:
We take a "whatever it takes" approach, even if it's outside the scope of our usual responsibilities. The Manager, Development and Product Management will generally be responsible for:
Leadership & Execution
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of software developers and product managers.
- Manage the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring timely and high-quality releases.
- Align development efforts with strategic goals of US Fertility.
- Drive software architecture decisions and technology stack evolution in collaboration with technical leads.
- Manage the relationship and work product of our software development partners.
Β Product Management & Strategy
- Define, own, and prioritize product roadmaps for clinical, operational, and patient-facing software platforms.
- Work with physicians, clinical operations, and business leaders to translate user needs into scalable digital solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize product roadmaps based on customer needs, clinical workflows, and market trends.
- Monitor KPIs such as adoption, usability, performance, deployment, and clinical impact to continuously iterate and improve products and product release management.
Technical Oversight
- Guide software architecture decisions and drive best practices for development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Ensure all systems meet stringent requirements for HIPAA, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee integrations with EHR/EMR systems, lab systems, and third-party tech platforms.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a key liaison between engineering, clinical teams, IT, and external partners.
- Facilitate cross-team planning and execution across technology initiatives and clinical needs.
- Partner with data analytics, patient experience, and revenue cycle teams to ensure alignment on digital strategies.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a management role involving both engineering and product functions.
- Proven experience in healthcare or life sciences technology, ideally in womenβs health, fertility, or clinical care environments.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, FHIR, HL7, data interoperability, and clinical data compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
- Experience working in or supporting multi-site clinical operations or healthcare networks.
- Familiarity with fertility-specific workflows, lab systems, or patient engagement platforms.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), clinical trials software, or LIMS platforms.
- Certifications in Product Management, Agile/Scrum, or Project Management (PMP).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
