Director of Product Management

ProAg, a crop insurance provider, is seeking a Director of Product Management, ideally located in our Maple Grove, MN office, to lead the transformation of how we serve our customers—agents, farmers, and ranchers, and our employees—through research-driven insights, seamless user experiences, and innovative product strategies.

In this pivotal role, you’ll guide the strategic direction and execution of product management functions, including all strategic investments, private products, and multi-peril crop insurance (MPCI). You’ll collaborate across departments to align business goals with research, design, technology, development, and delivery across the product lifecycle, ensuring every product decision is grounded in data and focused on delivering business value.

Whether refining existing offerings or launching entirely new solutions, your leadership will directly impact how we grow, retain, and serve our customers, making crop insurance easier for those who depend on it most.

What you’ll get to do:

Product Strategy & Execution

• Lead the vision and delivery of ProAg’s strategic solutions, private products, and MPCI. Ensure that product managers’ strategies clearly align with ProAg’s Strategic Vision, Goals, and Product Vision to gain a competitive advantage through better solutions.
• Lead user experience strategies, including research, to improve satisfaction and loyalty, and ensure that ProAg’s user-centered design practices translate clear business problems into value-added solutions.  
• Oversee strategic product planning and execution across the product lifecycle, including Quarterly Business Reviews, Monthly Business Reviews, and value planning.
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to ensure timely, high-quality product releases.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of product managers.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
• Mentor and develop team member skills, fostering their growth and ensuring the team remains at the forefront of industry best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with stakeholders across the organization to align product and experience initiatives with business objectives.
• Serve as a key voice in strategic planning and innovation discussions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Director of Product Management position will have demonstrated success in the primary areas of focus and responsibility.

• Experience –the successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Product Management, UX, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, user experience, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Agriculture, agriculture insurance, or crop insurance experience strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering successful products.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design, research methodologies, and agile product development.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $210,000.
