Overview:
The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Certification Product Manager to support the development, maintenance, and strategic growth of its certification programs (ACAS and FCAS). In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of certification products, collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors, and ensure offerings are high-quality, relevant, and aligned with industry needs.

Scope of responsibilities

Product Development & Lifecycle Management

  • Lead the full lifecycle of CAS certification products, including updates, retirements, and new product launches.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap covering practice exams, flashcards, score reports, and video tutorials.
  • Ensure all certification content aligns with examination requirements and industry expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Candidate Advocate Working Group (CAWG) to identify and implement enhancements.

Practice Exam Development & Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison with vendors for the development of practice exams.
  • Oversee project planning and timely delivery of new and updated practice exam materials.
  • Ensure content alignment with certification objectives and monitor candidate feedback for continuous improvement.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Select and manage relationships with third-party vendors (e.g., content creators, SMEs, exam delivery providers).
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements and quality standards.
  • Partner with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders to enhance program value.

Operations

  • Analyze program performance metrics and provide actionable insights for improvement.
  • Collaborate with admissions teams to incorporate certification products that support the candidate journey.

Candidate Experience & Communication

  • Coordinate with marketing and support teams to promote certification offerings and create informative materials (e.g., FAQs).
  • Act as a key point of contact for candidate and employer inquiries related to certification.
  • Lead communication efforts for product updates, enhancements, and new launches.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a fully accredited four-year institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in program management, preferably within an association or member-service environment.
  • At least 4 years of experience in testing, assessment, or certification to accepted industry standards.
  • Strong project and vendor management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of credentialing, adult learning, and educational technology best practices.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with data management tools and Association Management Systems (Cobalt proficiency is highly desirable).
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
