*This is a hybrid position located in our Des Plaines, IL office supporting our Diagnostic & Hygiene Consumables products

About the Role:

The Associate Product Manager manages the assigned product categories on a global basis to ensure operational excellence, continued growth, profitability, and favor among dental professionals. Β This includes strategic planning, in depth product knowledge, product planning, competitive product comparison, new product development, thought leader development, alliance partner activities, sales training, and sales planning with key distribution partners. Β This individual will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the product line, including forecasting, analysis, and responding to internal and external needs and questions. Β The Associate Product Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather insights, help define product requirements, and prioritize features that enhance the user experience. Β By effectively communicating with stakeholders, this role will help bridge the gap between technical teams and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the creation of the strategic plan for the product line and be the driver of initiatives to meet the plan objectives
  • Work closely with assembly and operations teams on product related solutions and questions
  • Help develop and support programs and events such as end user and dealer trainings and alliance partner programs
  • Responsible for tactical sales plans, product expansion, support programs, interacting with and supporting/training the sales team
  • Obtain full knowledge of product production processes, cost drivers, and end user requirements
  • Participate in business development discussions with potential industry partners and suppliers to expand both the product line and market penetration
  • Create sales training and educational tools for end users, dealer partners, and the internal sales team
  • Lead new product development initiatives including test market evaluations, managing design control process, and launch plan activities
  • Partner with the marketing and brand management team to develop communications surrounding tactical promotion plans, ensure pricing guidelines, compliance, and report measurement of results
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the production process with special emphasis on lead-time, cost drivers, and margins

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Health Sciences or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in product management, project management, marketing, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the medical or dental field is a plus
  • Demonstrated success working through others to achieve results
