The Job:  

As an Associate Product Manager - Grinders, you’ll be part of our DEWALT team, working as a Hybrid employee in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The Associate Product Manager will assist in all elements of responsibility for their portfolio, including its strategy, financial health, and product positioning. They will be introduced to the commercial construction landscape and begin developing an understanding of core users, applications, workflows, and those directly translate to strategy and NPD proposals. This position requires strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task and effectively work with others in various roles across the organization. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated individuals with experience in the Consumer Products industry, conducting market research, and both creating and communicating financial-based business cases. You’ll get to:  

• With guidance, manage the complete product lifecycle process alongside the Product Management team, from concept to delivery.
• Assist in leading cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives and serve as the point of contact for support functions
• Create and update financial models to substantiate NPD.
• Maintain an awareness of trends in the industry and develop an understanding of the core end-user, their applications, and their workflows.
• Assist in the creation of packaging, manuals, digital & physical collateral, and other commercialization materials.
• Conduct market research to substantiate critical decision-making within the Phase Gate process.
• Work closely with Channel partners to understand and influence volume opportunities, promotional activities, and forecast accuracy.
• Lead commercialization efforts of NPD along support functions, including creation of launch material, claims testing, pricing analysis, and training.
• Manage quality and service levels of portfolio alongside Sales and Operations teams.
• Support customer meetings, presentations, line reviews, top-to-tops, and relevant trade shows.
• Work with the Product Management team to develop and execute comprehensive short- and long-term strategic plans for a profitable retail and industrial product portfolio. 
• Support specials projects as assigned

The Person:

• BS or BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field. 
• 1+ years of Consumer Products experience.
• Ability to work effectively across functions and teams.
• Ability to present data and conclusions in an organized manner.  
• Ability to travel in support of critical decision-making.
• Problem solving, research, and analytical skills. 
• Experience using various computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other applications in the Microsoft Office Suite. 
• Must possess a ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to run with assigned tasks.
• Role is Hybrid with 3 days per week in-office- Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $50,5000 - $90,900 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
