Job Summary
This role is within the Dock Equipment division at Systems and part of Chamberlain Group's Product Management function. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Support the development and tactical implementation of product strategy for the Dock Equipment product portfolio; assist in implementing brand strategy, product category management, integrated marketing planning and pricing strategies and (ii) Support annual and multi-year operating plans and results for their product category/portfolio; track product category/portfolio financial performance; ensure organizational alignment of product category priorities and goals. Education requirements include: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; Experience requirements include: 2+ years in Product Management, Engineering, and/or Marketing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the development and tactical implementation of product strategy for the Dock Equipment product line; assist in implementing brand strategy, product category management, integrated marketing planning and pricing strategies
Support annual and multi-year operating plans and results for their product category/portfolio; track product category/portfolio financial performance; ensure organizational alignment of product category priorities and goals
Manage the implementation of product enhancements for the existing Dock Equipment product line, including gathering customer feedback, prioritizing with Sales, collaborating with Engineering on development, and coordinating launch and communication plans with Marketing.
Work with Sales and Engineering on custom specialty made-to-order products. Evaluate costs and opportunities of specialty products for possible inclusion into the standard product line.
Support achievement of full P&L objectives for the assigned product categories, driving profitability, volume growth and market share, as well as execution of product and services.
Achieve product category average net selling price and gross margin, recommending and implementing pricing objectives, strategies, and guardrails to extract maximum value on new and existing products; focus on growing revenue through product line mix and average net selling price improvements, improving margin through cost reductions and updating product line with incremental innovation, growing engagement through improvements to user experience
Assist in defining and communicating the product category/portfolio vision in support of the business unit strategy, including maintaining a clear product roadmap aligned to business goals in the short- and long-term; emphasis should be on fast-paced new product development and releases, sustaining product support and insight driven; product strategy should include both hardware and software focus in order to deliver compelling user experiences
Implement the strategy for their product offering, brand, and channels; partner with marketing, sales, and customer experience leaders to develop go-to-market strategies to win in targeted customer segments; lead the creation of end-to-end operational plans to drive profitably, grow and scale the business; work cross functionally to ensure achievement of product line objectives
Serve as a Product Owner of existing products to support implementation and sustaining of the end user connected experience, including uncovering real-time consumer insights, driving user experience requirements, creating business cases and winning value propositions, and leading cross-functional development teams
Assist the cross-functional marketing team to execute product marketing campaigns
Support the execution of a clear after-sales and service strategy to ensure customers are cultivated and supported in the long term, with the Customer Experience and Marketing teams
Assist product content guidance and prioritization, integrated marketing planning and pricing strategies, facilitating and/or leading daily scrum activities, and executing against clearly defined timelines
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
Β· Bachelorβs degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience:
Β· 2+ years of related experience with product management, engineering, and/or product marketing
Β· Proven track record of managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously and delivering results
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Β· Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
Β· Strong computer skills and capable of presenting customized presentations
using PowerPoint and data analysis using Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
Β· Experience in B2B with an industrial or manufacturing company is preferred
Β· Prior experience working with hardware and software offerings
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:β
Β· Comfortable interacting with highly technical development teams
The pay range/rate of pay for this position is $76,900 - $146,425; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.Β In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).Β This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
