Vice President, Product Management – Building the Financial Infrastructure for High Growth Restaurants

We are on the hunt for a leader to further scale the financial engine powering 15 million restaurant workers and over a million restaurants around the world.

You’ll take Lavu’s G2 #1 ranked point of sale and extend it from point of sale into embedded payments, payroll, banking, and card issuing—so operators can track every penny that flows in and out of their restaurant.

This isn’t a roadmap-maintenance job.

This is a build-it, ship-it, scale-it mission.

And when you get it right, you’ll help us grow to $100M+ in ARR—the right way.

We’re building the financial infrastructure for restaurants—starting at the point of sale and ending with every dollar that leaves the business.

You’ll own the journey:

POS → Payment Processing → Payroll → Banking → Card Issuing

OUTCOMES

1. Deepen Product Adoption Across the Financial Journey

• Increase attachment of payment processing to >90% of new POS customers
• Launch and grow payroll, banking + card usage to >25% of the base within 12 months
• Establish MVPs for banking and card issuing with 1,000+ active users

2. Ship Mission-Critical Product Upgrades for High Growth Restaurant Operators

• Deliver full visibility into the restaurant dollar flow
• Launch features that increase NPS and retention by 20% in key segments

3. Drive Measurable Revenue Growth Through Product

• Deliver $5M+ in ARR from embedded finance within 12–18 months
• Increase product-led expansion from existing base by 25>#/p###

4. Lead With Urgency, Customer Obsession & Simplicity

• Ship 5+ major finance features, with adoption and feedback loops in place
• Prioritize high-impact, low-friction wins in close partnership with engineering and GTM

COMPETENCIES

Must-Haves:

•  Computer Science background – you’ll speak engineering fluently and make good tradeoffs fast
•  Proven experience owning and shipping financial products (payments, payroll, banking, cards)
•  Experience with SaaS or vertical software, ideally for busy operators
•  You think like a founder: biased for action, allergic to bloat, and always customer-first
•  You’ve scaled a product from 0→1 and 1→10 in a cross-functional environment
•  Business mindset—you understand how product drives revenue, margin, and LTV
•  You can lead without needing a 20-person team, and you get your hands dirty when needed
•  Self-starter with a problem solver mentality
•  Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Ability to communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing
•  Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies and overall characteristics of production services
•  Deep understanding in AWS, iOS, Databases and Web technologies. Strong SQL skills, and comfortable in working production DBAs

Nice-to-Haves:

• Prior work in restaurant tech, and fintech or embedded finance infrastructure
• Experience working with global teams and distributed engineering orgs
• Comfortable defining and tracking core product metrics (activation, usage, conversion)
• Excellent communicator—clear, sharp, persuasive
