DescriptionWork closely with peers applying industry expertise to strategic growth projects by analyzing market and customer needs, segments, target customers, and generating messaging and content to drive product line growth. This position will be responsible for a defined product line(s), including forecasting and pricing, messaging, internal support, and product life cycle management.
In this position you will:
- Conduct customer interviews to identify problems worth solving with current A-N products and services or future ones we could offer
- Lead the management and strategic growth of SaaS product lines, with a focus on increasing market share, improving customer retention, and achieving key business objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for new business.
- Develop and deliver training content for internal teams, including marketing and sales, as well as external channel partners to increase product knowledge and application expertise enabling them to effectively value sell the A-N product line to customers.
- Take the lead on a set of products within the Anderson-Negele offering and act as the βgo-toβ within the company for knowledge of those products and their position in the market.
- Lead cross functional teams through life cycle management products to streamline the portfolio or respond to external constraints.
- Ensure detailed execution of projects and customer communication of changes.
- Provide product support and direction for Manufacturing, Operations or other internal functions as needed.
- Monitor product pricing, lead product specific price/margin improvement initiatives and participate in global price changes.
- Conduct financial analysis, and create business case to support the projects that are required within your portfolio of sensors.Β
Qualification and job requirements
- Bachelors in Marketing, Engineering, or other technical subject area preferred.
- 5+ years of proven experience in product management with hardware products is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role for a food and beverage processing plant or system integrator / OEM that manufactures equipment for use in hygienic processing environments.
- Deep knowledge of food and beverage process manufacturing environments, common applications and processing equipment is required.
- High level understanding of how sensors, and other process equipment are typically controlled monitored, and controlled through in plant automation.
- Experience in creating and effectively pitching business cases for projects, demonstrating a track record of securing stakeholder buy-in and funding approval.
- Understanding of common quality and safety standards & regulations that apply to food and beverage processing is preferred.
- Ability & desire to work with customers, translating their needs and desires into products and solutions
- Excellent communications skills (oral and written) a must!
- Proven ability to work across functions (engineering, sales, marketing, manufacturing, finance, etc.)
- 2 days/week required in either Spartanburg, SC or Fultonville, NY (hybrid work)
- Up to 25% travel required
