Position Summary: The Product Manager (PM) is responsible for management of a subset of business systems leveraged by Operations to facilitate mortgage servicing activities.  The PM acts as a subject matter expert and liaison between Operations and Technology and will facilitate gaining user requirements, completing analysis on what the appropriate solution should be, converting to technical requirements and ensuring work product is delivered accurately from development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Partner with business operations leaders to fully understand their systems, processes, and priorities to ensure continuous improvement
• Work with business optimization staff to identify areas of opportunity and concern where technology solutions will close a gap in mortgage servicing operations
• Research and help resolve production issues identified by operations leadership
• Help solve complex problems and proactively identify and proactively mitigate risks
• Responsible for intake of new work from the operations team the PM supports
• Gather and understand all user requirements.  Convert business requirements into technical requirements ready to hand over to development
• Completing initial sizing for work required, and collaborating with the development team to refine estimates, to move work from backlog to development
• Initial testing, post QA testing, prior to engaging operations for UAT testing
• Assistance in development UAT plans, conditioning loans in the testing environment(s) for required activities for UAT
• Post-Release testing responsibilities to ensure completed development is working as designed
• Remain organized and track multiple deadlines/tasks
• Work in a fast-paced and highly-collaborative environment
• Complete all required training in a timely manner
• Maintain knowledge of and adherence to Selene’s internal compliance policies and procedures
• Perform other ad hoc tasks and projects

The qualified candidate must possess 2-5 years of direct or related experience in each of the following:

• A bachelor’s degree in business or computer science
• Three to five years related experience in managing a product(s)
• Thorough understanding of both traditional SDLC and agile principles
• Working knowledge of ICE products and/or other commercially available CRMs
• Knowledge and understanding of the mortgage industry
• A professional who has an ownership mentality and can act as point of contact with our internal business customers
• Must be able to perform in a high-pressure environment, and be able to meet tight deadlines
• Has superb written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to draft engaging and impactful messages and presentations for inspiring employees and clients
• Solid organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
• High degree of integrity
