We are seeking a self-driven Regional Product Manager for our Loves Park, IL site. The Product Management position is responsible for the ownership and performance of products for their full lifecycle. Β 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, the following.

  • Collect and analyze market data and customer needs
  • Product portfolio and roadmap development and execution
  • Provide general specifications to product development teams for new products
  • Develop launch strategies for new products in coordination with cross-functional launch team
  • Provide response to specific application questions from sales/customers
  • Customer visits as required to collaborate with customers on product implementation
  • Develop technical literature for new products in coordination with the technical literature group
  • Develop marketing literature for products in coordination with the marketing group
  • Develop training materials for new products and deliver training to the customer
  • Collect and analyze competitor information
  • Manage product portfolio through the product lifecycle to create and sustain value

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.Β 

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering required (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred).
  • 2+ years of Product Management experience or experience as a Key Account Manager.
  • 2+ years in technical or applications role for an industrial products manufacturing company. Experience in a very similar product area (drives, motors, electromechanical or electrical controls,) is strongly preferred.
  • Should have a broad base of business knowledge in addition to technical knowledge.
  • Able to deal technically with complete systems involving complex technical components.
  • Experienced at analyzing customer needs and defining solutions.
  • Must have outstanding customer communication skills.
  • Strong team player – enjoys working with others.
  • Innovative style and approach to problem-solving.
  • Highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
  • The position requires domestic and international travel.
