Position: Product Manager, Hydro Flask
Department: Product Development
Work Location: Bend, OR. Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)
Hybrid Schedule: At Hydro Flask, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Any updates to this model will be communicated in advance. Please note that hybrid eligibility and schedules may vary based on business needs and manager expectations.
What you will be doing:
The Product Manager will manage the new product development for new color, material and finish on Hydro Flask products from concept to launch by coordinating and managing market research, product strategy, product development, pricing, positioning, packaging, promotions, communications, and collaborating with design and manufacturing resources.
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative Product Manager to support the development and launch of new colorways, unique seasonal collections, brand collaborations and account exclusive designs.
Oversee product categories and products currently on the market, manage pricing, maintain quality, and recommend marketing and distribution changes, as needed. Conduct strategic analysis of product categories and support the Category Director in developing strategic plans.
Assist in color and design planning from initial concept through final production.
Collaborate with Design and Marketing teams to execute design briefs and mood boards.
Build and manage schedules and timelines for bringing new products to market.Â
Manage time spent on projects by designers, engineers, factories, and others.Â
Responsible for follow-ups to ensure that tasks are completed and milestones are reached.
Regularly meet with design and engineering to manage products in development.Â
Lead the overall product strategy and provide feedback on design and concept direction with regards to pricing concerns and feature set requirements.
Conduct market research to determine category and product opportunities, which may be general category oversight, specific to a product that is to advance, or in the design process.Â
Test competitive products, explore retail positioning, and discuss product development opportunities with the Sales Department.
Use information to help determine which products to make.
Communicate with factories regarding quoting opportunities and negotiate pricing at various points in product development.Â
Work with the sourcing team in Asia to identify new manufacturing partners.
Manage ongoing product lifecycle for products within assigned categories.Â
Consult with Sales, Brand Design, Communications, and PR regarding marketing strategies for new and existing products.Â
Respond to quality concerns and renegotiate pricing as needed.
Mentor new team members.
Work to improve Hydro Flask product development processes.
Manage projects in Smartsheet.
Skills needed to be successful in this role:

Able to follow product development processes and protocol.
Organizational and presentation skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in related profession/field
5+ years of related experience
Strong analysis ability with product lines and product line planning, including margins, business trends, market segmentation, competitive research and trends, market research, and opportunity assessment.
Experienced with MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint. Windows, Smartsheet
Hands-on research, product evaluation, testing, and user-validation skills. Proven project management skills.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
