ABOUT THE ROLE
The Product Manager supports the strategic development and execution of product initiatives across Westwoodβs investment product offerings. This role bridges product management, market research and cross-functional collaboration to support distribution across institutional, intermediary and private wealth channels. The incumbent requires strong financial writing skills, including the ability to translate investment strategy, performance drivers, market context and product attributes into clear, compliant, client-ready content. Success requires a solid understanding of investment vehicle structures, financial markets, and product commercialization.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Product Management Support
- Assist in the monitoring and management of existing investment products, including tracking performance metrics and preparing regular reporting for internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with portfolio management, operations and compliance to ensure product accuracy and regulatory alignment.
- Support the launch of new investment vehicles by coordinating across internal teams and ensuring readiness for distribution.
Market Insights and Competitive Analysis
- Conduct ongoing research on market trends, competitor offerings and investor demand to inform product positioning and strategy.
- Monitor product performance across peer groups and market environments.
- Synthesize findings into recommendations for the product team and senior leadership.
Financial Writing, Marketing and Content Support
- Draft and edit investment product commentary, fund updates, product positioning, advisor-facing materials and market-related content.
- Translate portfolio management insights, performance attribution and market developments into clear narratives for institutional, intermediary and private wealth audiences.
- Ensure all written materials are accurate, concise, compliant and aligned with firm voice and investment positioning.
- Coordinate with marketing and compliance to facilitate timely reviews and approvals of product-related materials.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with sales, compliance, digital and portfolio management teams to support product rollouts and ongoing initiatives.
- Coordinate timely and compliant delivery of materials across internal and external distribution channels.
- Participate in campaign planning and execution alongside marketing and sales teams.
RFP and Due Diligence Support
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of investment product content for RFPs and DDQs, ensuring responses are accurate and aligned with commercial and compliance standards.
- Help maintain a centralized repository of product content for use by the sales team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Β Minimum Education Required
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsorship is available.
- Minimum Education Required
- Bachelorβs degree in business, finance, marketing or economics required.
- Licenses/Certifications Required
- Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred.
- Minimum Specific Experience Required
- 5+ years of experience in investment product management, financial services marketing or a related field.Β Β
WHO YOU ARE
- Working knowledge of investment vehicles, including ETFs, mutual funds and separate accounts.
- Experience supporting or contributing to product launches, RFP processes or marketing initiatives.
- Familiarity with financial data platforms such as Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg Terminal or FactSet is a plus, as is experience with financial content management systems such as Seismic or Salesforce.
- A self-starter who can manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, client-friendly language.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with solid problem-solving and research skills.
- Collaborative by nature, comfortable working across compliance, legal, digital and sales teams.
- Organized and process-driven with a proactive mindset and customer-first approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive investment information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced investment management environment.
