Zayoβs Fiber and Transport Product Management team is seeking a Product Management Specialist to support the development and execution of our Metro Dark Fiber portfolio. This role is focused on translating product strategy into executionβgathering and defining requirements, prioritizing backlogs, and driving cross-functional delivery to bring new capabilities to market and enhance existing services.Β
You will work across Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Go-to-Market teams to guide services from concept through launch, bridging technical and business priorities to deliver customer-centric solutions. This includes contributing to how products are priced, packaged, positioned, and promoted in the market, ensuring alignment between product capabilities and commercial strategy.Β
This role requires a hands-on, action-oriented mindset with the ability to break down complex problems, turn insights into clear user stories and functional specifications, and drive product delivery in a fast-paced, high-technology environment. You will also support product performance by analyzing data related to adoption, revenue, customer experience, and market competitiveness to inform continuous improvement.Β
As part of the Product team, you will collaborate closely with Strategy and Innovation to evolve the product roadmap, incorporate market and customer insights, and improve product performance through data-driven decision making. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional partnership, analytical thinking, and a solid foundation in product management principles, service-based offerings, and go-to-market execution.Β Β
Responsibilities:Β
Support the commercial success of the Metro Dark Fiber portfolio through contributions to pricing, packaging, promotion, and customer targeting strategiesΒ
Develop and maintain pricing models, analyze market trends, and evaluate competitive positioning to inform pricing and investment decisionsΒ
Partner with Sales and Go-to-Market teams to enable effective selling, including development of sales tools, product collateral, and customer-facing materialsΒ
Help define target customer segments, use cases, and value propositions to improve market penetration and win ratesΒ
Collaborate with Marketing to support product positioning, messaging, and promotional initiativesΒ
Translate market, customer, and business requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlog itemsΒ
Work cross-functionally with Engineering and Operations to deliver enhancements that support commercial objectives and customer needsΒ
Evaluate and improve product-related processes, systems, and workflows across the customer lifecycle (e.g., quoting, ordering, delivery, support)Β
Identify gaps and inefficiencies in product operations and partner with internal teams to implement scalable improvementsΒ
Support training and enablement for internal teams (e.g., Sales, Operations) to ensure consistent understanding and effective delivery of product offeringsΒ
Define and track key metrics across product performance and customer experience, using data to drive continuous improvementΒ
Build strong relationships across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment and effective executionΒ
Qualifications:Β
Bachelorβs degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Β
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in product management, product marketing, pricing, business operations, or a similar roleΒ
Strong analytical skills, with experience in pricing, financial modeling, market analysis, or performance measurementΒ
Experience supporting go-to-market activities, including sales enablement, customer segmentation, or product positioningΒ
Familiarity with process improvement, operational workflows, or systems that support the product lifecycle (e.g., quoting, ordering, CRM)Β
Ability to use data to identify issues, measure performance, and drive process or product improvementsΒ
Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment and influencing stakeholders without direct authorityΒ
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Aha!, or similar) is a plusΒ
Experience in telecommunications, networking, infrastructure, or B2B services preferredΒ
Experience with tools such as Salesforce (SFDC), CRM platforms, or analytics tools is a plus
MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., Product, Agile, Process Improvement) are a plusΒ
Estimated Base Salary Range: $70,300.00 - $108,200.00 USD/annually.
The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
