Requirements

As a Principal Product Owner, you will own the technical and architectural direction of a portfolio of products, shaping the future of software engineering. You will define enterprise-level technical decisions, drive large-scale product strategies, and lead innovation in alignment with business objectives. This role requires a deep technical background, strong leadership capabilities, and strategic vision to influence cross-functional teams, remove blockers, and optimize engineering efforts for long-term growth and success. You will be responsible for translating business needs into innovative, scalable solutions, managing budgets, and ensuring that products align with market demands, industry trends, and customer-centric goals.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Strategic Leadership

• Define enterprise technical direction, architecture decisions, and best practices to shape software engineering strategies.
  
• Own the technical roadmap and work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to prioritize initiatives.
  
• Lead cross-team system design and enterprise-wide technology adoption, driving innovation and setting industry standards.
  
• Provide technical expertise in at least one core domain, influencing large-scale product and program direction.
  
• Drive continuous process improvements, methodology enhancements, and tool optimizations to increase efficiency.
  

Product & Program Ownership

• Align engineering and product strategies with customer needs, market trends, and business objectives.
  
• Work closely with C-suite executives, business leaders, and engineering teams to build a scalable and resilient product ecosystem.
  
• Represent the client on global initiatives, advocating for best-in-class engineering solutions and industry leadership.
  
• Guide strategic budget allocation, optimizing costs while ensuring high performance, scalability, and innovation.
  

Technical Excellence & Innovation

• Exhibit mastery in at least one programming language, capable of writing optimized, high-performance code that serves as a reference for global teams and training.
  
• Ensure software solutions meet performance, security, and scalability benchmarks, implementing best practices for code quality and system efficiency.
  
• Diagnose and resolve highly complex issues across large-scale, distributed systems.
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Mentorship

• Act as a thought leader in software engineering, fostering cross-functional collaboration and consensus building.
  
• Lead high-stakes technical conversations, remove blockers, and align diverse teams toward a shared vision.
  
• Mentor and approve work from Engineers and Senior Engineers, ensuring technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and career development.
  
• Champion a customer-centric culture, ensuring product-market fit and alignment with business strategy.
  

Qualifications & Skills

• 10-14 years of experience in Product Management, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  
• Expertise in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Scala, or similar), with strong familiarity in additional languages.
  
• Proven track record in leading large-scale product/program direction, shaping enterprise-wide engineering strategies.
  
• Deep technical proficiency in system architecture, scalability, security, and performance optimization.
  
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive enterprise-level initiatives.
  
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of diagnosing and resolving complex software challenges.
  
• Experience managing and optimizing budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and financial stability.
  
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, guide cross-functional teams, and align technical and business objectives.
  
• Customer-first mindset, with a strong understanding of market trends, competition, and user needs.
