Position Summary: The Manager of Product Management leads and mentors a team of Product Managers to execute Karmak's product strategy and priorities as set by the VP and Director of Product Management. This role involves coordinating closely with sales, marketing, development, and customer support teams to ensure the successful development and delivery of product features and enhancements. The Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of the product team, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, effectively managing escalations, and driving continuous improvement in product management processes.

Essential Job Functions:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Product Managers, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
• Execute the strategic direction and product priorities defined by the VP and Director of Product Management.
• Ensure comprehensive product roadmaps and project plans are effectively implemented according to strategic goals.
• Oversee the creation and management of clear and detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Track the progress of product development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to defined requirements.
• Conduct regular reviews of product performance, gathering insights to drive continuous improvement.
• Foster an environment of execution-focused innovation and accountability within the product management team.
• Collaborate effectively across teams on strategic company goals, key initiatives, issue escalations, conflict resolution, and interdepartmental alignment.
• Support the Director of Product Management in operational planning and execution.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and translate insights into actionable product enhancements.
• Provide guidance on user-interface design, user experience considerations, and oversee mock-up creation.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proven experience in product management and team leadership, including experience managing remote or distributed teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and team-building abilities.
• Deep understanding of product lifecycle management, Agile methodologies, Kanban frameworks, and execution-focused project management.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with the heavy-duty industry and software solutions is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL).
• Solid understanding of API design principles, product integrations, and developer experiences.
• Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking paired with the ability to handle tactical execution.
• Proficiency with roadmap management tools such as Aha!.
• Experience with communication and collaboration tools including Slack and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity and practical experience with AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience with user-interface design tools such as Figma or Adobe Illustrator.
• Ability to construct basic data queries for analytics and market research.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Product Management, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• Formal Product Management training is preferred.
