The purpose of the Inside Sales Specialist is to grow our revenue and customer base through inside selling efforts while providing our customers with an exceptional buying experience.
This is an "inside sales & applications support" position where inbound phone calls and e-mails from customers, representatives and consulting engineers are responded to in a cordial and technically sound manner. In addition, the Sales Engineer I will initiate calls to customers to ask about technical issues with respect to orders, request for quotation, and specifications. The ability to speak and write well are of utmost importance for this position, as is the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. This position requires a very service-oriented person, who enjoys helping customers and engineers solve their measurement challenges. The Inside Sales Specialist position will support the sales team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
β’Take inbound inquiries via phone, live chat, and email
β’ Answer customer inquiries, provide quotes to customers, and move opportunities through the sales funnel
β’ Meet or exceed assigned Sales goals
β’ Manage a product portfolio
β’ Work directly with customers on sales inquiries to review customer specifications and make product recommendations
β’ Work collaboratively internally with outside sales team and externally with our channel partners
β’ Work closely with outside sales engineers to jointly grow the funnel for our flow product offerings
β’ Actively generate new business through customer outreach and following up on marketing generated leads
β’ May be assigned additional projects and responsibilities at the sole discretion of the manager
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
β’ Prior professional customer service experience is beneficial
β’ Experience with inside sales or service of electro-mechanical products is a plus
β’ Ability to multitask a must
β’ Minimal travel for training and customer visits
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
β’ 2-4-year technical degree, or equivalent technical level experience
