Job Description

The Health Data Platforms team atΒ PA Consulting is a leading provider of managed software services for healthcare quality measurement and reporting. Our Health Data Platforms team is dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes through innovative technology solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled CMS Regulatory Specialist to join our team and ensure compliance with Medicare regulations while driving the development of our software products. By applying ingenuity to the building of data platforms for the clinical and biopharmaceutical community, PA aspires to change the course of care across the medical spectrum.

Job Summary:Β The CMS Regulatory Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring our software services comply with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) regulations as well as quality initiatives from inside and outside government agencies. This individual will work closely with our product development team as a Product Manager, guiding the creation and enhancement of our healthcare quality measurement and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CMS regulations and experience in product ownership within a software development environment. The role will require extensive client interaction and provide opportunities to shape client investments in quality measurement and improvement beyond what is required by current programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interpret CMS regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance across all software products.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for CMS-related inquiries and audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, quality assurance, and customer support, to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Serve as a Product Owner for the software development team, defining product vision, roadmap, and requirements.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and business goals.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of software products to maintain compliance with evolving CMS regulations.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on CMS regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends and changes in CMS regulations to proactively address potential impacts on our products.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in policy, regulatory affairs, information technology, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in software product management, preferably with a focus on healthcare quality measurement and reporting.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in a software development environment.
  • Understanding of quality measurement, and of CMS quality reporting programs such as MIPS, MACRA, and HEDIS. Experience with the regulatory expectations and requirements around these programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in regulatory affairs (e.g., RAC) or product management (e.g., CSPO) is a plus.

In compliance with Colorado’s, New York & Massachusetts's Equal Pay Transparency Act, PA is required to provide a reasonable salary range for this role.Β  This salary range is specific to the State of Massachusetts and is commensurate with experience, market data, applicant skills, internal equity and/or degrees/certifications.Β 

Salary Range: Low: $ 100,000 - High: $140,000
