SUMMARY: The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Product Management β Diagnostic Genomics will serve as the strategic leader overseeing the development, commercialization, and lifecycle management of genomic diagnostic products, with a focus on Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) and Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS). This role will drive alignment across business objectives, clinical needs, and market trends to ensure the success of our cutting-edge genomic solutions.
The AVP will define the vision, strategy, and execution plan for Diagnostic Genomic products, ensuring they meet clinical, regulatory, and commercial success metrics. Champion a customer-first approach by deeply understanding user needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape. The role requires cross-functional leadership, deep market understanding, and a focus on delivering impactful genomic solutions to healthcare providers and patients. Additionally, this AVP will manage Product Owners, ensuring the successful execution of strategic initiatives through an agile product management framework. As part of a program management model, this AVP will lead one of Baylor Geneticsβ strategic programs, ensuring alignment with business priorities and fostering cross-functional collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in genomic diagnostics, molecular diagnostics, or life sciences product management.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record of managing and mentoring product teams, and leading strategic initiatives.
- Genomic Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, FDA), market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and deliver impactful genomic solutions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Leadership: Manages a portfolio of projects that collectively contribute to major company objectives (e.g., launching a new genomic test, implementing a digital health solution).
- Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Diagnostic Genomic testing, aligning with business goals and market opportunities.
- Ensures programs align with evolving market needs, clinical utility, and reimbursement strategies.
- Portfolio Management & Program Oversight: Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management for WES and WGS, from development through commercialization.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a key liaison between R&D, clinical teams, regulatory affairs, digital product teams, and commercial functions.
- Market & Customer Engagement: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and gaps in the genomic diagnostics landscape.
- Operational Excellence & Compliance: Establish and monitor KPIs for product performance, ensuring adoption and revenue growth.
- Innovation & Growth: Identify emerging genomic technologies, AI-driven diagnostics, and industry trends to drive innovation in the WES/WGS space.

Education:
