DescriptionReporting to the Assistant Vice President of BOP and Umbrella Product, the Small Business Product Owner will lead the design and delivery of solutions that enhance product and underwriting workflows. This role requires a strong combination of underwriting expertise and product knowledge. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineering and business teams to ensure solutions align with organizational goals and deliver measurable improvements. Success in this role involves strategically prioritizing workflows and fostering collaboration to ensure timely delivery of stakeholder requests. Please note that this position requires working one Saturday per month following business releases.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Requirement Development: Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements that align with the product vision and roadmap.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with business users to finalize and approve requirements, effectively managing and prioritizing changes based on evolving business needs.
- Insightful Reporting: Develop compelling presentations and research reports to distill key insights for stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
- Testing Oversight: Create and review test cases, collaborating with business stakeholders and end users to ensure successful user acceptance testing.
- Sprint Participation: Actively participate in sprint planning and reviews, ensuring engineering and development teams remain on track with assignments.
- Efficiency Improvement: Drive efficient and timely delivery of objectives, contributing to the overall success of projects.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Support the entire project lifecycle, from inception through user acceptance and deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Solution Validation: Partner with business users to ensure developed solutions meet their requirements and deliver value.
- Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to ensure focus on high-impact initiatives.

Qualifications- Bachelorβs degreeΒ
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in P&C insurance (underwriting and product background is preferred)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, maintains thorough attention to detail
- Ability to deliver efficient and creative solutions in a fast-paced environment with limited resources and minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.Β
The pay range for the role is $125,000 to $175,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicantβs skills and other factors.
