ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage development and commercialization of product lines.
  • Drive delivery of customer solutions through current product enhancement and new product development. Determine product development/enhancement prioritization ranking.
  • Assist in formulation and implementation of the Product Marketing Strategic Plan.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to assure the timely implementation of product programs.
  • Perform ongoing competitive analysis and maintain a competitive matrix for features, positioning, performance and pricing. Initiate requests for competitive product testing and evaluation.
  • Ensure effective product positioning, costs and pricing that align with market requirements.
  • Manage catalog and specials pricing to achieve gross margin targets set forth by management which will include developing appropriate pricing, updating all systems, and catalogs.
  • Manage life cycle of assigned products.
  • Manage product updates through all commercial systems, such as all appropriate web sites, dealer portals, EZ Spec System and e-Commerce platforms.
  • Perform market research, trend and sales analysis to identify new opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Act as liaison between sales, engineering, R&D, purchasing, manufacturing and finance.
  • Manage maintenance and updating of trade show product.
  • Interact with service and quality assurance personnel to monitor product performance and identify customer support issues.
  • Attend trade shows and visit distribution channel partners / end-user customers to gather information and assure market responsiveness and customer satisfaction.

REQUIRED COMPETENCY To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Moderate proficiency required in Microsoft Office Products – especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of accounting and finance. Must be able to calculate gross margin, customer margin, develop list prices, etc. and understand how pricing and cost decisions affect the profitability of the company.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and driven to succeed.
  • Must be customer focused
  • Must be able to lead and influence all areas and levels of the organization.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business related field or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.Β  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.Β  Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.Β  Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.Β  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
